B050-( ) Single-Point Parachutist Restraint
While in the aircraft, sport parachutist must be restrained during take-off, landing, flight below 1000 feet, and in turbulent conditions. While a seat belt may be used, an approved restraint may be used instead. The B050 single-point parachutist restraint is approved by CASA under the provisions of CAR (1998) 21.305A.
Generally, the B050 restraint is semi-permanently fixed to a suitable anchor point in the aircraft and, the free end wraps around or connects to the skydiver’s parachute harness. Installation in an individual aircraft requires separate approval. Aircraft anchor point must be rated for 2729 lb or 1238 kg load.
The Australian Parachute Federation sells a STC to allow 6POB in Cessna 182 model E through R, which do have suitably rated anchor points. Visit the Australian Parachute Federation web site for details.
The B050 comes in configurations to suit seat the type of anchor point available and the type of attachment preferred for the skydiver.
